James and Robert Marshall of
Tullochgorum Estate
1830’s

James is the 3rd generation of Marshall’s continuing the farming tradition on Tullochgorum. James’s grandfather bought the property in 1947. James began leasing Tullochgorum from parents in July 2015. Tullochogorum runs a self replacing merino flock producing 130 bales of superfine merino wool each year.

James believes that the farming methods such as low stress stock handling and cell grazing are the way of the future. He is passionate about looking after the land and believes that he and his family are not the owners but custodian for future generations. It is important to James that there is a balance between the land, health and wealth fare of the stock and making a profit.
